Cumin Fish Curry

Ingredients:
fish pieces- 400 gm
small onions - 100 gm
tomatoes - 100gm
green chilli - 3
garlic cloves - 6
turmeric powder - quarter tsp
chilli powder - 2 tsp
cumin powder - 2 tsp
tamarind juice from small lemon size
oil -2- 3 tbsp
mustard,cumin and fenugreek- each half tsp
curry leaves - few
chopped cilantro - 1 tbsp
coconut paste - 2 tbsp (optional)

Steps to follow:
Clean and wash the fish pieces, drain water and keep aside.
Cut onions,tomatoes garlic cloves and slit the green chillies.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard,fenugreek,cumin seeds and curry leaves.When it splutters add chillies,small onions and tomatoes.Add little salt and stir well.
Add chilli,turmeric and cumin powder and stir for a minute.Then add tamarind juice.Let it boil for few minutes until the raw smell goes.
Then add the fish pieces and salt to taste.

Let it cook for 10 minutes in low fire.
Add chopped cilantro leaves and switch off the stove.
Now Cumin fish Curry is ready.Serve with hot plain rice.

Channa Veg Chat



Ingredients:
cooked channa - one cup
chopped onion - 2 tbsp
chopped tomatoes - 2 tbsp
chopped capsicum - 2tbsp
chopped cabbage - 2 tbsp
chopped carrot - 2 tbsp
chopped coriander - 1 tbsp
crushed garlic - 2 cloves
chilli flakes -quarter- half tsp
chat masala - 1 tsp
oil - 2 tsp
salt - to taste.
Heat oil in a pan just add one by one crushed garlic,chilli flakes,onion,tomatoes,cabbage,carrot and capsicum.Stir fry for a minute. Then add cooked channa,chat masala and salt to taste.Garnish with chopped coriander and serve.
Serve this with Bread or Bun or Chappathi or Serve this simply like a salad.

Moong Sprouts Chaat/Healthy Sprouts Sandwich








Ingredients:
brown bread - 4 slices
cream cheese spread - 2 tsp
moong sprouts - 2 tbsp
chopped onion - 1 tbsp
chopped tomato - 1 tbsp
chopped carrot - 1 tbsp
chopped cucumber - 1 tbsp
lime juice - to taste.
salt and pepper - pinch to taste.

Serves one.
Wash moong dal and finely soak the moong dal for 12 hours with enough water.After soaking, drain the water and loosely wrap it in a muslin cloth or paper towel and store it in a closed hot pot or in a a closed oven.After 24 hours the sprouts are ready to serve.Sprouts can be refrigerated for 4 days.
In a bowl add moong sprouts,chopped onion,tomatoes,cucumber,carrot,salt ,pepper and lime juice.Mix well.
Healthy Moong Sprouts Chaat/ Salad is ready to serve.

Then spread the cream cheese on the bread slice ,then put the sprouts salad and close with the another slice of bread.Then slightly toast in the toaster or even you have without toasting.
Now Healthy Sprouts Sandwich is ready to serve.Serve with salad immediately.
Sprouted beans are low fat,high protein,high vitamins,minerals and high fibre.It is a well balanced diet for all.

Pasta Arrabiata / Penne Arrabiata

Ingredients:
cooked pasta - 1 cup
oil - 1 -2 tbsp
chopped garlic cloves - 1 tbsp
chopped tomatoes - 2
soup cube - 1
pepper powder - half -1 tsp
or chilli flakes - 1 tsp
oregano - quarter- half tsp
paprika powder - quarter -half tsp
grated cheese or fresh cream - 2 tbsp
salt - to taste.


Heat oil in a pan add chopped garlic and stir for a minute.

Then add chopped tomatoes. Stir well for a minute.

When tomatoes begin to mash add powdered soup cube.
Mix well.
Then add freshly ground pepper or chilli flakes. Stir well.
Add oregano and paprika to the garlic tomato sauce.

Mix well and add the cooked pasta.

Add fresh cream or cheese to the pasta.Stir well and switch off the stove.Now Pasta / Penne Arrabiatta is ready to serve.
Serve hot immediately.Enjoy the fabulous taste.

Moringa Flowers Egg Fried Rice

This is our traditional recipe (Patti Vaiththiyam) for pregnant women.
This recipe is not only for pregnant women others also can have this.Very Healthy Recipe.

Eating Moringa food products is good for those suffering from malnutrition due to the high protein and fibre content. The iron content of the leaves is high, and they are reportedly prescribed for anemia.

Flower juice improves the quality and flow of mothers’ milk when breast feeding.

Flower juice is useful for urinary problems as it encourages urination.

Uses every part of the Moringa Tree and considers it one of the most valuable and useful plants. The ayurvedic and siddha medicine of India has many uses for Moringa Tree products, such as a natural antibiotic, an aid in childbirth, for treating liver disorders, and many other uses.

There are many benefits of the moringa tree, but the health benefits are the most important.

Moringa is effective against skin infections, in lowering blood sugar, reducing swelling, healing gastric ulcers, lowering blood pressure and even calming the nervous system.

Moringa Flowers Egg Fried Rice;-
Ingredients:
moringa flowers - one handful
moringa tender leaves - one handful
chopped small onion (nattu ulli)- 2 tbsp
chopped garlic flakes (nattu poondu)- 2tbsp
egg (nattu kozhi muttai)- 1
cumin - 1tsp
gingelly oil - 2 tbsp
cooked rice - half cup
salt and pepper - to taste.

Steps to follow:-

Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds,chopped small onions,chopped garlic and stir well.

Then add clean washed moringa flowers and tender moringa leaves and again stir fry for a minute.


Beat the egg with little salt and pepper.
Then add the beaten egg to the stir fried moringa flower mix.


Then add hot rice and mix well.
Now Moringa Flowers Egg Fried Rice is ready to serve.Serve Immediately.

You need one beet root, one carrot and one apple that combine together to make the JUICE !

Pulpy Orange Juice


Sending this Recipe to Healthy Morsels - Pregnancy.

Ingredients:
mandarin oranges - 2 (big)
water - 1cup
sugar - if needed( 1-2 tbsp)
ice cubes - 2
Peel the oranges,remove the skin and seeds of the segments and keep aside.
In a mixie jug add orange pulps,water and sugar(if needed) and blend it for a minute .

OR With hand citrus juicer, cut the mandarin orange into half and press and twist to get juice.Remove the seeds and serve.If you have electric juicer you can do with that.

Fresh Pulpy Orange Juice is ready.
Very easy to prepare. Enjoy garnish with mint leaves.Orange juice with pulp is very nutritious.
