Garlic Kulcha


Kulcha is probably a popular  Indian Bread. Always serve this kulcha warm,  straight from tawa or oven or wrap in aluminium foil until you ready to serve the meal.

Ingredients:
maida (plain flour)
curd - 3 tbsp
baking soda - 1/ 4 tsp
baking powder - 1/2 tsp
sugar - 1 tsp
salt - to taste
oil -2 tbsp  (for kneading )
sesame seeds ( for topping)
garlic cloves finely chopped -2-3 tbsp.

Steps to follow:
In a bowl add maida, curd,baking powder,baking soda,sugar,salt and chopped garlic cloves.
Mix all of them using little water make a smooth dough.
 Cover the dough with wet cloth and keep it for 3-4 hours in a warm place.Dough should be double in size.Knead the dough again with greased hands.
Make some lemon sized balls and keep aside.
Take one ball and roll it out to desired shape and sprinkle it with sesame seeds.
Heat tawa cook both sides of kulcha and take it off.

Now the Garlic kulcha is ready.
Serve hot with any gravy dish. I served with chicken gravy. It tastes awesome..Thanks Meena for sharing.

Easy Bread Pizza

A simply made dish and very delicious snack at anytime of the day.

 Ingredients:
big size sandwich bread slices
butter
mixed vegetables (onion,tomato,capsicum,mushrooms,olives etc..) your choice..
pizza sauce or tomato sauce
grated mozzarella cheese
oregano,pepper powder and red chillies flakes
salt -to taste.

Depending upon your taste, you adjust the quantity of the above said  ingredients.

Steps to follow:
Slice the vegetables of your choice ,sprinkle salt to taste and mix well. Keep aside.
 Spread a spoon full of butter on each bread slice.
 Then spread two spoons of pizza sauce or tomato sauce.
 Arrange the sliced vegetables on bread slices.
 Put grated cheese on top,sprinkle powdered pepper,oregano and chilli flakes.I sprinkled oregano and pepper powder on top.
Preheat the oven  to medium temperature. Bake or grill in the oven till cheese melts but careful not to burn the bread.
 Now the easy bread pizza is ready to serve.

 Serve on plates immediately. Enjoy!

Pav Bhaji & Misal Pav


 Both recipes are big hit in our house.Thanks Meena  for sharing the yum yum North Indian Recipes.Today we enjoyed the tasty healthy Pav Bhaji. Ye..aahh I learnt many recipes from Meena.

Ingredients :
big potatoes - 3-5
mixed vegetables - 1 cup
boiled peas - half cup
chopped onion  - 2
chopped tomatoes -5
chopped green chillies - 2
ghee &  butter - 2 tsp
ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
pav bhaji masala - 2 tsp
1 tsp each (or half tsp)- amchur powder(dry mango powder),red chillies powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder
salt - to taste
Pav buns - 12 or more

Steps to follow:



In a pressure cook heat ghee & butter add chopped onion,fry till onion turns translucent  then add ginger garlic paste and again stir well for a minute in medium flame.
Add chopped tomatoes,cook till tomatoes are soft.Add all dry masalas,mix and sprinkle little water  and fry for one more minute.
Add vegetables and potatoes mix well and add salt to taste and cook for 2 whistle.Let the cooker cool down.
Open and mash the veggies and add cooked peas.Mix well. Check the salt to taste and add water if needed.
Boil the gravy altogether, it should not be thick or too watery.
Cut the bav buns horizontally and fry them in a tawa with  ghee or butter.
Serve the bhaji with butter or ghee  roasted buns. Garnish the bhaji with chopped coriander and chopped onions.
